The old battlefield “The Battle of SEKIGAHARA”

I walked from OGAKI city toward SEKIGAHARA along the route 21, then I entered in SEKIGAHARA town. I found a trace of “The First Camp for Battle by IEYASU-TOKUGAWA Corps”, after a little bit of climbing the hill to the left of the route 21. The trace exists on top of the hill called “MOMOKUBARIYAMA”, and I could see farms through the branches of the trees, and the railroad “Toukaido-Honsen line” over there. There were many overgrown trees at the location of the stone monument remains, so it was difficult to imagine the existence of a camp at such a place. However, this may have been suitable place for a battle camp, because of the good view of the flat ground below. There are many remains of battle camps besides this one, for example the remains of “The Last Camp by IEYASU-TOKUGAWA Corps” and “The Camp by MITSUNARI-ISHIDA Corps”. The Battle of “SEKIGAHARA-NO-KOSEN” was a big battle in 1600A.D., the East Corps led by IEYASU-TOKUGAWA versus the West Corps led by MITSUNARI-ISHIDA. Both corps waited for the chance to attack, watching each other through the thick fog. When the thick fog cleared, the battle started and East Corps won few hours later. If I think that a lot of soldiers “SAMURAI” were here and waited the chance for the attack, I can imagine some of the soldiers slipping through time and reappearing in the forest now.
