Wakayama-Jyo castle

I walked through the center of Wakayama city. I could see the great tower of the castle. It was a fine day that day. It was so beautiful. The castle was originally built by Hidenaga-Hashiba, a brother of Hideyoshi-Hashiba. Hideyoshi-Hashiba changed his name to Hideyoshi-Toyotomi. He was one of the strongest Shogun kings in the Sengoku war era 400 years ago in Japan. Though the castle was destroyed during Pacific Ocean war (WW Ⅱ), it was rebuilt using iron reinforced concrete. I had to climb a steep slope because the castle stands at the top of a somewhat high mountain in the center of the city. There is a second summit which is best for taking photos of the castle. There were many sightseers due to the May vacation in Japan called “Golden Week”. I waited until it was less crowded so I could take a good photo of the castle. Perhaps this strong, beautiful castle is proof that Hidenaga-Hashiba had a very strong authority 400 years ago!
